January 2013 Goals

Look back at my December post to see how I did on my goals and to get another tip on calendaring your goals.

Here are my goals for January. It looks like I made a lot but it is because I broke each goal into the smaller steps I must take to accomplish each goal. That way each goal will hopefully be less overwhelming.

Health

Put together a cookbook/menu planner binder = COMPLETED

  • Look for examples online

  • Write down format & gather necessary supplies

  • Get binder that I started in past & recycle old stuff

  • Put together

  • Add new recipes

Work out 5 days of weeks = COMPLETED

  • Schedule specific time each day to work out

  • Find workout buddies for accountability

Website

Hire someone to make website logo = COMPLETED, CHANGED GOAL TO “FIND A DESIGNER TO DO ALL THE BLOG WORK I WANT”

  • Contact guy suggested to me

Website updates

  • Change color scheme on my theme

    • See if I can use the tutorial

    • Find someone to help

  • Find someone to help me with transferring my feed

  • Add most popular posts widget, tweets, other things to increase exposure

Writing

Submit Pumpkin manuscript to agent = FOUND SOME BUT HAVE NOT SUBMITTED YET

  • Go to Hastings & find some agents who repped work similar to mine

  • Look up agents online to see if particular agents cover my genres

  • Put together a packet to send to them

Put together simple truths manuscript = STILL EDITING

  • Look at posts & decide which I want to put in book

  • Edit them so that they are similarly formatted

  • Add a challenge to each post to make it like a devotional book

  • Put together a table of contents

Home Improvement

Complete remodeling in girls’ room = COMPLETED ALL EXCEPT FLOOR & ADDING PICTURES

  • Paint doors & add mirror + pictures

  • Flooring

  • Hire someone to build stuffed animal “zoo” storage

  • Set up TV & Wii

  • Other artsy projects I want to do

Tip: Add (at least!) one of the mini steps of your goals to your agenda each day.
