Dear Future Husband

Dear Future Husband,

Last week I wrote letters to my former boyfriend, God and any potential future boyfriends, so then I thought, why not write you? You probably never read The Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn, but the main character, Christy, writes letters to her future husband and saves them in a box. I always thought it was a very cool idea but I never could muster up enough self-discipline to keep up with that. I didn’t even keep up with a journal. Pretty ironic for a writer, right?

But after the letters I wrote last week, I decided I would start writing you here on my blog because I have to be consistent with my blog, and why not kill two birds with one stone? You’ll learn that I love to multitask…and also, I wouldn’t actually kill a bird (It’d be great if you’re not a hunter!)…

Anyways, hopefully I’ll encourage myself and others and have something really special to give you one day – besides me, of course! Let me tell you, I am quite the catch :) And I know you will be, too, because you are the one God has reserved for me. I am excited and honored to wait for you. I hope you’re having a wonderful day filled with God’s blessings!

Love,

Tiffany Dawn

  • I absolutely love this idea!! when you were telling me about it i didn’t really think about how neat it would be to give them to your husband someday. I would like to join you in accomplishing this feat. but i as well have trouble with consistency and persistence, but you’ve inspired me to try.

Excellent! Glad to be an inspiration :)
I may start to offer a link up party on Fridays and then you can blog your letters as well and link to my blog.
